About Jordan J. Yorke
Jordan Yorke was born and raised in Elmira, one of three brothers, by his parents who are also native Elmirans. He currently resides here with his wife and son.
Yorke holds a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from SUNY Brockport and a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law.
He returned to Elmira to commence his legal career. He served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Chemung County District Attorney's office where he handled over a thousand criminal cases. During his tenure, he participated in Drug Court, Domestic Violence Court, and the Judicial Diversion program in Elmira City Court. He also served on the Multi-Disciplinary Team for the Child Advocacy Center.
Presently, Yorke represents the City of Elmira in small claims, civil, and local criminal cases as Assistant Corporation Counsel to the City of Elmira. Additionally, he advises City personnel regarding various legal issues dealing with state and local laws.
Jordan Yorke's extensive and diverse experience within Elmira City Court makes him uniquely qualified to be the next Elmira City Court Judge.
